Attendees have this once-a-year opportunity to connect with over 200 companies and 900 industry experts to discuss new trends, products and services. Lunch is free to all registered attendees both days, providing a perfect peer networking opportunity as well! The Expo Grand Opening begins at 12:00 noon Wednesday, with the Expo closing at 3:00 p.m. Thursday.
Learn What Other Agencies Are Doing - Best of the Best Awards Showcase
Award winners display and discuss their 2019 award winning projects! The California Park & Recreation Society’s Awards Program recognizes the outstanding achievements of agencies and individuals in the areas of community improvements and programming, facility design and park planning, marketing and communication, and professional and citizen leadership.
Network with university faculty and students. Discuss projects that you are interested in and find out how your local university might be able to help or share research that is already available. Information about bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in parks, recreation, and tourism will also be available from a variety of universities. Faculty and students will be on hand during Expo Hall hours.
Learning Opportunities - RecTalks Live
Join us on Thursday in the University Row area to hear from professionals and academics about innovative programs, concepts or ideas in the field of parks and recreation. RecTalks are 10-15 minutes long, so join us for one or stay the whole day! Final topics and speakers will be available in the conference app!
Bid on fabulous items at participating vendor booths throughout the Expo. All proceeds support the California Foundation for Parks & Recreation Scholarship Fund. Auction items must be claimed by 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the conference registration counter.
Held both Wednesday and Thursday, these are “Must Be Present to Win” activities! Cash drawings will take place both Wednesday and Thursday during dedicated viewing times in the Expo. The Grand Prize Trip drawing occurs Thursday prior to the exhibit hall closing at 3:00 p.m. Only registered attendees may participate.
