Senior Engineer Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company, Connecticut
Presentation Description: This presentation introduces the audience to the various types of risk faced by a renewable energy project from the development stage into construction, operation, and decommissioning at the end of life. There are three main ways of dealing with risk: retain (“cross that bridge when it comes”), mitigate (risk reduction methods and safety standards), and transfer (insurance). This presentation will identify the risks and discuss how these risks are typically dealt with, including references to particular safety standards and generally available insurance products. Where possible, Linkesh will bring real world lessons learned from experience in the insurance world.
Methodology: Interactive presentation; using a slide deck with time for Q&A, some polls, and some open-ended questions to the audience.
