As the Senior Team Leader – Solar, Rounak Kharait brings a versatile viewpoint to analyzing renewable energy projects. He has experience in the solar industry, as an EPC, owners and lenders engineer and a developer. He initially spent 3.5 years at Thermax Limited, India as an senior proposal engineer for solar. He then worked at Leidos Inc, Denver for 2.5 years working as a solar engineer helping the independent and owners engineering practices. He worked on assessing solar projects across North America and the globe.

Prior to rejoining DNV GL he spent over 2 years at NextEra Analytics where he led their Solar Resource Assessment Group. His responsibilities included managing energy assessment reviews the largest portfolio in the world. He has worked on over 40 GW of solar and storage resource assessments. Additionally, he has been publishing in IEEE PVSC, and NREL PV module reliability conferences, often co-chairing sessions. Rounak is passionate about data, analytics and building an efficient team.
