Executive Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer
Gale King is Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for Nationwide, a Fortune 73 financial services company with 30,000 associates. In this role, Gale is responsible for the company’s Human Resources, Corporate Real Estate, Corporate Security and Aviation functions. This includes the development of the HR strategy, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, associate and leadership development, succession management, organizational effectiveness and diversity and inclusion. She also manages the company’s innovative workplace environment spanning more than 131 facilities and approximately 7.5MM SF, Nationwide’s top-ranked security operations and the Aviation department, which has been recognized nationally for its nearly 60 years of accident-free flying.
Under Gale’s leadership, the company has been recognized for its leading Human Resources practices and as an employer of choice for its strong culture, performance orientation and commitment to diversity and inclusion. She is active in the community, serving as a board trustee and Chair for the University of Florida Foundation, board trustee for the Executive Leadership Council and co-Chair for the membership committee. Additionally, she is an inaugural member of the Columbus Women’s Commission. King is a graduate of the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master's degree in public administration.
