This workshop is designed to provide investigators with an understanding of the psychological effects of human trafficking so that they can conduct more Victim-Centered, Offender-Focused investigations. This will ensure that the victims needs are met, while allowing the investigations and prosecutions of offenders without the need for the victim's cooperation. The topics to be discussed include: the stages and causes of victimization; trauma in the brain; learned helplessness, and how to approach these investigations with the best interest and well-being of of the victim being being taken into account. The presenters will also discuss how to conduct these operations using minimal funding, and manpower. This workshop will only be recorded and available On-Demand from August 10, 2020 until December 31, 2020.
