Greg Smith is the Executive Director of the Kelsey Smith Foundation®. In 2007, Greg’s 18-year-old daughter, Kelsey Smith, was abducted and murdered. The case made national news and led to the start of the Kelsey Smith Foundation® and the Kelsey Smith Act - A law that allows law enforcement immediate access to the location of a wireless device when a person is believed to be in danger of serious bodily harm or death, and law in 25 states as of 2019. Greg served in the United States Navy and in law enforcement in South Carolina, Missouri, and Kansas. He served 2 terms in the Kansas Legislature. Greg has returned to law enforcement and is currently a Special Deputy with the Johnson County (KS) Sheriff’s Office.
