Saturday, December 19, 2020
9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Overview: Revascularization in INTERMACS-3 heart failure in a patient on home inotropes. Severe proximal left anterior descending coronary artery disease with extensive calcification. Understanding the approach to management of coronary artery disease in the setting of compromised ventricular function. This case will discuss the evidence behind intracoronary physiology in heart failure, duration of anti platelet therapy, use of atherectomy and hemodynamic support. This case will discuss the overlap of interventional and heart failure teams in the management of critically ill patients.
Understand the management of coronary disease in end-stage heart failure
Discuss the management of calcific lesions without hemodynamic support
Discuss the role and duration of antiplatelet and anticoagulation therapy in end-stage heart failure with coronary disease
