This two-day course will provide intensive lectures, in addition to live and cadaver wet labs, to gain experience in a wide array of commonly performed clinical techniques and procedures in domestic chickens. The course is focused for veterinarians in general private practice or universities with an interest in starting, or expanding, their backyard chicken medicine service.
The course will cover aspects of anatomy, husbandry, handling, common diseases, legislation, biosafety, diagnostic imaging, therapeutics, medicine, and post-mortem evaluation, among other important topics.
