Introduction to Stifle Repair

This introductory course 2 day course is designed to teach the fundamentals and skills for successful surgery of the stifle with a focus on management of the meniscus, extra-capsular stabilization for cranial cruciate ligament injury and treatment of medial patella luxation. Whether you are new to orthopedic surgery or you want to hone your skills and learn some new techniques, this course is for you. In the course, we will use the Intrauma Isolock system for extra-caspular stabilization of the cranial cruciate ligament deficient stifle in both plastic bones and cadavers. The focus of the second day will be on management of grade 2 medially luxating patellas with tips on improving sulcoplasty and tibial tuberosity transposition techniques.
