My name is ChiaHao Wu, a 5th year PhD student at the University of Rochester. My research interest is elucidating the ways in which extracellular vesicles mediate cell-cell communication in the development of cancer.

Under the support and supervision of my mentor, Dr. Yi-Fen Lee, I published a first-author paper in the Journal of Biological Chemistry entitled "Bladder cancer extracellular vesicles drive tumorigenesis by inducing the unfolded protein response in endoplasmic reticulum of nonmalignant cells." The two studies that I am presenting in the 2020 AUA meeting are follow-up research I am currently working on based on this paper.
