Dr. Hawksworth received her undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA, a master’s degree in business administration from Boston University and her medical degree from University of Vermont College of Medicine. Upon graduation, Dr. Hawksworth completed urology residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Following residency, she worked as a general urologist and Chief of the Urology Clinic at the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital in Fort Belvoir, VA. As an active duty US Army officer, she provided urologic care to the active duty service members, retirees and their family members.
After seven years of service, she completed her 2-year-long Fellowship in Male Sexual Health and Reconstructive Surgery at the Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute. She is currently the Director of Andrology and Male Sexual Health at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Hawksworth’s clinical and research interests include male sexual dysfunction and infertility and their relation to the metabolic syndrome and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
Dr. Hawksworth has published 20 scientific manuscripts and book chapters and has presented her work at national and international academic conferences.
