Marlie Elia, MD is a current research fellow in urology at the Cleveland Clinic. Raised in Boston, she received her undergraduate degree from Wellesley College, where she majored in Neuroscience and minored in philosophy. In between college and medical school she spent several years working on neuroimaging research. She received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. She became fascinated with urology during her first exposure to it during medical school. She is interested in under-served patient populations and health disparities. She will start her clinical career with a preliminary surgery residency at the University of Washington in Seattle the summer of 2020.
