Matthew Parry

London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine

Mr Matthew Parry MBChB MRCS MSc MPhil is currently a urology registrar on the London rotation and has taken time out of programme to complete a PhD at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He trained at the University of Liverpool and completed his Academic Foundation Programme at Aintree University Hospital gaining experience in clinical trials. He started an Academic Clinical Fellowship in Urology in 2014 working with the National Prostate Cancer Audit, which led onto securing funding through the NIHR for a Doctoral Research Fellowship. His work uses routine hospital data to investigate treatment variation and outcomes in locally advanced prostate cancer. He is due to re-enter urology training in October but plans to remain involved in data science, cancer epidemiology and health services research.
