Agile Coach and Project Manager
The Clorox Company
Lloyd Cross is an Agile Coach and Improvement Project Manager at The Clorox Company, with 33 years of experience in Quality, Engineering and R&D. In his current role, Lloyd leads enterprise-wide improvement work using Lean, Six Sigma and increasingly Agile methodologies. He also helps train, coach and mentor a network of Lean and Six Sigma Black and Green Belt level process improvement practitioners operating globally throughout the organization. Prior to this role, Lloyd worked in R&D, developing packaging and processes for Clorox’s Cleaning and Healthcare businesses. In 2004, Lloyd joined a group tasked to bring Lean and TPM to Clorox’s global manufacturing network. He helped develop the Early Management Pillar, the purpose of which is to assure a vertical and sustainable startup of new manufacturing processes. In this role Lloyd developed reliability engineering and risk management expertise that today, he continues to leverage beyond manufacturing. Most recently Lloyd has been working to integrate aspects of Agile Kanban methodology in large scale improvement projects – typically in areas of high risk and limited resources where standing up future state improvements are best done iteratively rather than with traditional waterfall project management.
Lloyd earned his ASQ CSSBB in 2006, Certified Agile Scrum Master in 2017 and is tracking to complete the Scaled Agile Program Consultant certification in February 2020.
