M07 - Using Lean Canvas Methods to Achieve Quality Outcomes
Monday, February 24, 2020
9:15 AM – 11:45 AM
Presentation Description: New business models and innovations in products, capabilities, and technologies are challenging the established methods and operations currently employed. To achieve the value that are envisioned through these changes, Quality is an essential consideration to be integrated for the value proposition and the business model. Ideas that were originally developed for Lean Manufacturing and are now widely deployed to create new businesses as evidenced through the Lean Startup movement demonstrate that these tools and methods may be applied at any scale for delivering value in products and services. In this workshop, the use of lean canvas methods are introduced and examples are illustrated for application to product, service, technology, and platform integration, deployment, and extension. The Business Model Canvas and the Value Proposition Canvas (derived from Eric Ries’ The Lean Startup by Alex Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur) are visual models that enable teams to design, test, and deploy based on the principles of creating value through lean processes. Join us for an interactive session that will explore how these visual Canvas models may be used to accelerate time to results and gain organizational commitments to successful outcomes.
