T08 - Define the Right KPIs Aligned with Strategic Objectives
Tuesday, February 25, 2020
9:15 AM – 11:45 AM
Presentation Description: The workshop will step through a structured approach for identifying the right set of "balanced KPIs" (lagging and leading) that are aligned to the strategic objectives of an organization.
The approach is based on the best in class "GQM" Goal-Question-Metric approach to KPI/metrics identification by starting with the strategic GOALS and objectives of an organization driven from the VOC (voice of the customer) and VOB (voice of the business), and drilling down to key QUESTIONS(drivers) related to the specific objectives such that the drivers collectively pass the "necessary" and "sufficient" test. At the final step, the drivers are drilled down to METRICS which have to be leading as well as lagging KPIs (CTQ - Critical to Quality / lagging KPI) and CTP (Critical to process - leading KPIs) to provide a balanced set of KPIs.
