Presentation Description: This presentation demonstrates true potential of MD/MBA Black Belt led Lean/Six Sigma process redesign project in the healthcare stetting. A three day rapid improvement project resulted in significant discovery of inefficiencies and redundancies associated with two in-office procedures being preformed at a VAMC urology clinic. Introducing the new processes resulted in substantial decrease in time for each procedural visit, resulting in additional capacity, improved wait times, improved patient satisfaction, improved employee satisfaction, and positive substantial venue shift.
