M24 - Quality Tools for Identifying Problem Drivers
Monday, February 24, 2020
2:45 PM – 3:45 PM
Location: Courtroom QR
Presentation Description: When Georgetown County, SC was faced with tackling Behavioral Health, the agencies that interface with these citizens started working together towards a solution. It wasn't long into this endeavor when the enormity and complexity of the issue surfaced and the overall effort slowed. Use of a facilitator who introduced quality tools (Brainstorming, Affinity, Interrelationship Digraph, and A3) enabled the group to get back on track and identify what drivers to work on going forward. The use of Quality tools got this team un-stuck, focused, and able to communicate issues and progress.
1) To learn about the power of combining quality tools into logical sequences
2) To be able to apply tool sequencing to attribute and subjective data situations
3) To learn how to take complex situations with mostly subjective data and determine solution directions
