Presentation Description: "Strategic Alignment Through the Hoshin Kanri Lens" will provide participants with an overview of the Lean approach to operational excellence through strategic alignment of organizational goals, metrics and initiatives. This session will discuss the value of the Hoshin Kanri approach, beyond the traditional "Balanced Scorecard", provide examples of the tools and approaches used, and give participants the opportunity to consider their own environments and how this powerful tool could be utilized. The session will also focus on the leadership behaviours and engagement strategies that will offer opportunities for increased staff participation in creating, designing and delivering on the initiatives crucial to the organization's success. The Hoshin Kanri approach is key in relating management goals to the daily activities of the front line staff, where the strategic deployment of goals are made real.
