Beatrice Mihalache is a rising researcher at Los Gatos High School in California. For the last two years, she has been researching the effects of microplastics on plants and on the human gut microbiome. In her free time, Beatrice enjoys running, creating art, reading non-fiction, and baking. She loves being outdoors and loves plants, and is currently caring for some succulents of her own.
