Research Molecular Biologist / Adj. Professor
Dr. Li Li is a USDA-ARS Research Molecular Biologist at the Robert W. Holley Center for Agriculture and Health on the Cornell campus in Ithaca, NY. She is also an adjunct professor in the Plant Breeding and Genetics Section, School of Integrative Plant Science, at Cornell University. Dr. Li Li’ research program is on gene discovery and understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying phytonutrient biosynthesis and micronutrient metabolism as well as plant biotechnology. The goal of research is to improve the nutritional quality and health-promoting properties of food crops. Currently, her research focuses primarily on carotenoid and anthocyanin biosynthesis as well as selenium and glucosinolate metabolism in plants. The most recent work has been published in journals such as PNAS, Plant J, and Molecular Plant.
