Graduate Student
Cornell University
I am a PhD student at Cornell University working on RNA editing in the chloroplast of Arabidopsis thaliana. I started my research journey at Kenyon College, where I completed an undergrad thesis on how a mutation in the branched-chain amino acid catabolism pathway causes reduced accumulation of lipid reserves in Arabidopsis seeds. I switched gears for a while during my time at the University of Minnesota, where I acted as a lab manager and junior scientist studying cancer biology in quiescent human cells. I am eager to enter academia as a teaching-focused faculty.
