Eva M Farre is an associate professor at Michigan State University in the Department of Plant biology. She joined MSU as an assistant professor in 2008. Her laboratory works on the circadian rhythms of plants and algae and aims to understand the mechanism of circadian clocks and how they influence growth and development. She graduated with a Diplom in Biology from the University of Heidelberg in Germany and received her doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) in Plant Biochemistry from the University of Potsdam/Max Plank Institute for Molecular Plant Physiology. Her interest in circadian rhythms started during her postdoctoral work in the laboratory of Steve Kay at the Scripps Research Institute. She is currently member of the ASPB Women in Plant Biology committee at ASPB.
