graduate student
University of Florida
I was born in Miami, FL and gradauted with a Bachelor's in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Florida in 2018. Later that same year, I enrolled in the University of Flroida's Plant Molecular and Cell Biology doctorate program. Since the summer of 2019, I have been working under Dr. Jeongim Kim and studying an alternative route of auxin biosynthesis. My research focuses on studying this biosynthesis pathway, identifying the enzymes and regulatory components involved with this pathway as well as studying the effects this pathway has on overall plant growth and development. The goal of my work will be to increase our understanding of aldoxime metabolism as a whole, as well as to dteremine both its distribution and influence over plant growth and defense.
