Anjali Iyer-Pascuzzi grew up in Los Angeles and earned her BS in Molecular Environmental Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. She moved to Cornell University where she received a MS in Plant Pathology and PhD in Plant Breeding and Genetics, followed by a postdoc at Duke University in root biology. She is an Associate Professor at Purdue University, where her laboratory focuses on understanding mechanisms of disease resistance in plant roots to soilborne pathogens.
