Dr. Natalie Clark is a USDA-NIFA Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Iowa State University in the lab of Dr. Justin Walley. She is a systems biologist who uses a combination of experimental, mathematical, and computational methods to address several biological questions including plant development, hormone crosstalk, and disease resistance in both Arabidopsis and maize. Natalie obtained her BS in Mathematics from University of Richmond, where she received a Goldwater Scholarship and performed Drosophila genetics research. She then received her PhD in Biomathematics from North Carolina State University in the lab of Dr. Rosangela Sozzani, where she received an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship and transitioned into plant biology.
