Established in 2012, the goal of the Black Landscape Architect Network was to serve as a network for Black Landscape Architects. Since then the membership has increased, along with collaboration with the ASLA and other groups. In 2020 BlackLAN officially incorporated as a nonprofit organization with an active Founding Board of Directors, to support these relationships and advance our goals for the future. We are excited about our organizational Mission to establish student scholarship support, programs, and enhanced collaborations with other organizations. We invite you to register and meet our Founding Board of Directors and learn more about our past, present, and future goals. This session will start with a brief history of the organization, current activities, and future goals. We will have a Q&A period following the presentation so that you may ask more questions related to the organization and why our work is important. We look forward to introducing ourselves to you.
