National Park Service
Alex is a community planner with the National Park Service’s Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance (RTCA) program in Seattle. Trained as a landscape architect, Alex proposed and led the establishment of a general agreement between the National Park Service (NPS) and the Washington Chapter of ASLA to collaborate on community-based projects through the NPS Rivers and Trails program. The success of the NPS-WASLA partnership provided the foundation for a national agreement in 2000 that has engaged state chapters across the country in local projects. Alex has a BLA, magna cum laude, from the University of Washington.
