Matthew was born and raised in Atlanta and attended the University of Georgia where he earned his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture in 2018. While in school, he interned at Historic Oakland Cemetery, Atlanta’s Victorian-era garden cemetery, and at CORE, a design-build landscape architecture firm. After completing his capstone studio and studying ceramics in Cortona, Italy, Matthew moved to Macon to intern with AnT Sculpture building landscape scale ceramic sculptures. In 2019, he returned to Atlanta to begin his career with DTJ Design, where he works on a variety of projects from Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park to indoor waterparks in China.
