Tiffani Simple is the principal of Simple Design Studio-Architects, P.C. in New York City. Her education and experience in both architecture and historic preservation guide her with a unique and mindful approach to each project. She is experienced with a variety of building materials including masonry, brick, terra cotta, concrete, wood, stucco, and architectural plaster finishes.
Tiffani is an active member in several professional organizations including the Association of Preservation Technology (APTI), the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA), the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), and ASTM International. As a minority female architect in preservation, she is dedicated to advocating towards a more inclusive industry and has been completing research over the past several years on the causality of preservation and gentrification. She is a co-chair of APT’s Inclusion Advocacy Committee and is part of several advocacy organizations within the design industry.
