Alison Henry

Alison is a trained stone conservator and a former conservation officer. She has wide experience in private practice, higher education and the public sector. She joined Historic England as a Senior Building Conservation Advisor in 2010. Alison has a special interest in masonry, mortars and earthen materials, and leads Historic England’s research into these materials. She co-edited and contributed to the Historic England Practical Building Conservation series volume on Mortars, Renders & Plasters.
