Alick Leslie

Dr. Leslie is head of the Built Heritage Research team, which consolidates the GCI’s long-term activities in the development and application of scientific skills to improve conservation of the world’s built heritage, from ancient to modern. He received his PhD in Sedimentology from the University of Durham, United Kingdom and a BSc (Hons) in Geology from the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Prior to joining the GCI in 2019, he was a Senior Buildings Conservation Advisor with Historic England, writing a guide to the analysis of historic mortars and associated materials.
