Claudia Cancino is a Peruvian architect with additional training in conservation at ICCROM in Rome and business administration at ESAN in Lima. She earned a Master of Science in Historic Preservation and an Advanced Certificate in Conservation from the University of Pennsylvania. She joined the GCI in 2002 and is currently a Senior Project Specialist managing the Earthen Architecture Initiative, which comprises of Seismic Retrofitting Projects in Peru, the Rehabilitation Plan for the Kasbah Taourirt in Morocco, the Conservation Course of Earthen Architecture in Al-Ain, Abu Dhabe, UAE and the upcoming World Congress Terra 2021 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
