DAVID A. PINK, PhD. Senior Research Professor, St.Francis Xavier University, Antigonish, NS, Canada B2G2W5. He obtained a Ph.D. in Thoretical Physics. Beginning with research in solid state physics, principally magnetically-ordered systems, he moved into modelling and computer simulation of bio- and model-membranes, and twenty years ago changed his research to the physics of food systems. Since then he has done research on edible oils and food proteins. It has been said that he changes his research fields every twenty years. In between he taught most physics courses at St. Francis Xavier University, and was on the NSERC Council, the Board of the Canada Foundation for Innovation, and the Advisory Board on TRIUMF. He is Senior Research Professor of Physics at St.Francis Xavier University, and is Adjunct Professor in the Food Science Dept., and a member of the Biophysics Interdepartmental Group, at the University of Guelph.
