Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA)

Many agro-processors in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) don’t have ready access to the same technical assistance, research and development, state-of-the-art equipment, or skilled labor that is available to U.S. and European counterparts. Nonetheless, agro-processing, especially of soybeans, is thriving in many countries in SSA. In partnership with AOCS and the Soybean Innovation Lab (SIL), the CNFA-implemented Farmer-to-Farmer program is part of a pilot program bringing together U.S. industry volunteers in agro-processing and soy processors in SSA to work on specific challenges, as identified by SSA processors. We at CNFA are excited about working with AOCS and SIL and look forward to welcoming AOCS members as volunteers!
