Folayemi Fashola is a Drug Use Management Clinical Pharmacy Specialist with a focus in neurology and rheumatology specialty medication management. In this role, she leads and supports population-level efforts to promote safe, effective and affordable medication use by participating in formulary management, clinical initiatives, provider education, decision support and network pharmacy engagement. She also provides medication consultations and medication education for individual patients in her specialty areas. She serves as a preceptor in the Kaiser Permanente Georgia PGY1 managed care and PGY2 ambulatory care residency programs and as a Guest Lecturer at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine Georgia School of Pharmacy. Folayemi is a Doctor of Pharmacy graduate from the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy. She completed her PGY1 managed care residency at CalOptima in Orange, California. Folayemi is passionate about incorporating clinical evidence into managed care decision making. Her membership and participation in the Kaiser Permanente inter-regional multiple sclerosis workgroup is one way she puts this passion into practice. Her professional interests include specialty drug use management, multiple sclerosis, neurology, rheumatology and medication therapy management. When she is not engaged in medication management work, she may be found spending time outdoors or planning a trip.
