Cross-Campus Partnerships to Help Students Fund Their College Education
Saturday, January 25, 2020
10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Location: Pennsylvania Convention Center
For the past three decades, the cost of a college education has been creeping upward. This crisis in affordability is the collective responsibility of all campus departments, including libraries. Academic librarians can play an important role in helping students both save money and secure additional funding. Key campus collaborators include student success departments, academic departments, IT, and academic affairs. Partnerships can include open educational resources, workshops, and resources focused on helping students apply for scholarships and financial literacy sessions. Attendees will learn about programming led by librarians to help students defray the increasing costs associated with obtaining a college education.
