On June 1, 2020, CMS released QSO 20-31-NH memo detailing the enhanced enforcement penalties that facilities now face for deficiency citations related to infection control violations. This session will focus on the factors that drive the penalty assessment, criteria used, penalties assessed and how the NHSN COVID-19 Weekly Reporting Data is used.
