With the acceptance of grants from the Provider Relief Fund resulting from the CARES Act, SNFs and other LTC providers will need to demonstrate that they have lost revenue and incurred expenses attributable to COVID-19 in order to retain this funding. This program is designed to assist SNF and other LTC providers as to best practices for compliance with these requirements and accounting for these grant funds. It will also focus on the interactions between the Provider Relief Fund, the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans and any additional State Medicaid payments relating to COVID-19.

Learning Objectives:

Discuss the requirements of the CARES Act/Provider Relief Fund regarding provider responsibilities to demonstrate lost revenue and increased costs attributable to COVID-19.
Describe how to develop approaches to ensure compliance and accounting, as well as other financial controls, to be utilized to demonstrate compliance.
Explain how CARES Act funding may interact with PPP loans and any additional State Medicaid payments relating to COVID-19.
