Director of Clinical Affairs
Rosie D. Lyles, MD, MHA, MSc is a Director of Clinical Affairs at Medline Industries, Inc. She is responsible for providing clinical and medical affairs support for multiple product divisions. She is the primary clinical/medical liaison with the Medline divisions supporting those products, providing guidance on a number of activities including: developing complex clinical strategies across multiple product lines, providing clinical reviews, assessing off-label data, moderating advisory boards, speaking engagements, working with key opinion leaders and subject matter experts as well as collaborating with healthcare systems and public health organizations across local, state and federal levels.
Dr. Lyles was previously the Head of Clinical Affairs at Clorox Healthcare, and is an accomplished physician with over 15 years of experience investigating healthcare associated infections (HAIs). During her time with the Cook County Health and Hospital Systems, she focused on hospital epidemiology and prevention of multidrug-resistant organism (MDRO) infections. She has directed clinical studies that influenced national guidelines and bundled interventions for infection control, as directed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Chicago Prevention and Intervention Epicenter. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles related to infectious disease epidemiology, and has widely-presented on universal MDROs prevention strategies. She is an active member of the Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA), Association for Healthcare Environment (AHE) and the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA).
Currently she serves on Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) Board Member for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for HSR&D Scientific Merit; Infection Control Board Member for C. Diff Foundation; Member of HAIs Workgroup for Patient Safety Movement Foundation; Member of Florida Health Care Association (FHCA) Workgroup Sustainable COVID-19 Plan; Board Member of the White House Coronavirus Commission on Safety and Quality in Nursing Homes. Also served as Medical Advisory Board for C. Diff Foundation, Co-Chairman of the Association for Health Care Environment (AHE) Industry Advisory Council, and participated in White House Forum on Antibiotic Stewardship (2015) for the National Action Plan for Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria.
