Justin Smith leads the Innovation and Technology group within Direct Supply. Direct Supply is the nation’s leading supplier of good and services to the Senior Living market and headquartered in Milwaukee. Justin started his career in product development at GE Healthcare, working in design, usability, and validation of new medical devices. Starting with Direct Supply, he focused on improving the quality and efficiency of their procurement and building management product lines and overall software development practice. He has also acted as both Engineering Lead and Product Owner for their eCommerce solutions business. In the past year, Justin has shifted his focus to leading Direct Supply’s Innovation and Advanced Technologies programs including a focus on emerging healthcare tech, including medical IoT, AI, Computer Vision, and Voice Control applications within the industry. He also works with technology startups across the US and overseas to develop and test their products and move them to alpha and beta pilots with healthcare customers. Justin has a passion around organizational development and advocating for positive cultural change in the companies and organization that he works. Justin is the former President of the Marquette University Engineering Alumni Association as well as a member of the College of Engineering “Thought Leaders Council.” Justin holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Marquette University.
