Given Halloween 2020 is only a few days away from this AES performance, Phantom Power: A Brief History Of The Ghost In Our Machines is story of the morning show team at radio station WDMB, who have been quarantining together at the studios while continuing to broadcast since March 2020. On this 100th Anniversary of Commercial Broadcasting, 'the ghosts' that live in the machines — that only Phantom Power can defeat — begin to 'appear'.
Produced and directed by Sue Zizza of SueMedia Productions / Radio Waves Studios (suemediaproductions.com) and the HEAR Now Festival (hearnowfestival.org), Phantom Power features members of Soundbooth Theater (soundbooththeater.com), who will be performing live from each of their studios, over the internet. The production will also incorporate recorded and live sound effects and music during the performance. While its cast members hail from all across the country, Soundbooth Theater has been able to present live online performances weekly for their fans that feel as if you are in the studio with them.
