Founded in 1968, Sigma Sound Studios was the center of the "Sound of Philadelphia" during the 70s and beyond, and a facility was later opened in New York City as well.
Sigma Sound engineer Arthur Stoppe, a veteran of 25 years at the studio, recounts its history while presenting an insider's view using photos he took during the heyday of the Philly Sound, including some images not previously shown publicly. The photos show not only the facilities, but provide a behind-the-scenes look at Sigma's staff and clients at work.
Other Sigma engineers will add their recollections of life in the studio during the panel discussion that follows.
