Abstract: In 2019, Sony launched 360 Reality Audio, which provides a new music experience using object-based spatial audio technology. Object-based audio contains information on time-varying object loudness and location and audio data, which are transmitted to playback devices, and then rendered and played back. It was reported in  that object locations affect subjective sound pressure perception depending on the direction of the sound source. In this e-brief, we present an approach for increasing sound quality by considering the loudness and location of objects. We performed a subjective listening test for three test items. The results indicated that two items had statistically significant differences in sound quality.
