He mixed the first program of ORF in Dolby Surround as well as 5.1 discrete surround sound and is since then involved in all aspects of Multichannel Audio at ORF. Since autumn 2008 Camerer chairs the EBU group PLOUD, successfully introducing loudness normalisation instead of peak levelling in Europe. He is lecturing on an international basis especially in dramaturgical aspects of surround sound productions, microphones for surround sound and all aspects of loudness in production, distribution and transmission. Recently, he is specialising in Immersive Audio and Next Generation Audio (NGA), expanding his approach from 2D-surround sound to 3D. Camerer is an active member of the AES (Audio Engineering Society), being broadcast chair for numerous European Conventions.
