Technology Specialist and Research Lead

Neo Kaplanis is currently a Technology Specialist, in Sound Design and research, at Bang & Olufsen’s Innovation Labs in Denmark. His research interests focus on human perception and evaluation of audio, combining sensory analysis techniques and XR technologies to achieve that.
Previously, he held positions as R&D Engineer at HARMAN Automotive, and Bang & Olufsen, recording engineer at Royal College of Music and AESTHIS records, and visiting researcher at Aalto University (FI), KU Leuven (BE), and University of London (UK).
He holds a Tonmeister degree in Music and Sound Recording from University of Surrey (UK), a MSc in Auditory Neuroscience, Music, Mind, and Brain from Goldsmiths College, University of London (UK), and a PhD in Acoustics & Psychoacoustics from Electronic Systems of Aalborg University (DK) as part of an EU Consortium granted by FP7 Marie-Curie ITN.
