PE-109 - Practice Management Short Talks: Pathways From Classroom to Clinical Practice
Sunday, March 15, 2020
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
CE: 1
This session provides each speaker five minutes to summarize the development and implementation of innovative and effective practice management curriculum that prepares students at their institution to have successful post-graduate careers. Dental schools must train students to be competent in practice administration—and yet graduates report they are significantly less prepared for it compared to restorative dentistry. These short presentations will empower participants to further advance academic programs, foster collaborative partnerships with new practice ideas across institutions and discover their own unique pathways to transition students from the class to the student clinic and into practice.
Learning Objectives:
Identify and compare various practice management curriculum models.
Discover collaborative partners from other institutions.
Apply new ideas to improve the pathway of students as they transition from the class, to the student clinic and ultimately into practice.
