With the evolving student population and the increasing demands of the dental and dental hygiene curricula, the online delivery of content and the utilization of online applications may provide student learning flexibility and improve student engagement in the classroom. Participants will be presented with the evidence about the benefits, challenges and realities of online education from the student and faculty perspectives. Examples will be provided with methodologies to deliver content, promote active learning and assess student learning. Participants will create and present a Powtoon presentation as a method for student engagement and an assessment of student learning.
