Saturday, March 14, 2020
1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
CE: 1
The potential of interprofessional data sharing is enormous, however, there are numerous regulatory and cultural hurdles that must be overcome. This interactive workshop will present the perspective of dental and non-dental practitioners on sharing health data between dental and medical record systems. It will examine the data that physicians need from dental records and vice versa. Importantly, it will provide opportunities for the participants to discuss concrete steps that can be taken in their institution to begin to break the cultural barriers that prevent this data sharing.
Learning Objectives:
State the need for improved data sharing across health records.
Describe the major issues related to sharing data across health records.
Outline concrete ideas for improving data sharing at their institution.
