SP-112 - Develop Multi-institutional Collaborative Relationships for Interprofessional Education Research
Sunday, March 15, 2020
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
CE: 1
Interprofessional education (IPE) research has primarily occurred at single institutions with unique assessment tools. Comparing pedagogical approaches and assessment tools across contexts and learner levels are necessary to advance IPE. IPE pioneers have recommended increasing the quality and rigor of current research. Moving beyond single-site studies, incorporating longitudinal assessments, using validated instruments and/or evaluating outcomes using the Kirkpatrick modified model are ways this could be accomplished. The purpose of this session is to guide educators in expanding IPE research by networking with colleagues from other institutions, identifying research questions, methodological approaches and investigator roles.
Learning Objectives:
Recognize seminal IPE literature and opportunities for research.
Identify faculty at other institutions who share similar IPE assessment interests.
Initiate a plan for continued multi-site/institution collaboration post-conference.
